I am an assistant professor at the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. Before moving to Guwahati, I worked as assistant professor at Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad. I did my PhD in Statistics from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, under the supervision of Prof. Debasis Kundu and Prof. Sharmishtha Mitra.

I work in broad area of reliability and survival analysis. I am interested in censored data, truncated data, competing risks data, data obtained from accelerated life tests.
